Watching: Can't wait to start watching the Mad Men box set this weekend with my friend whilst having red wine and pizza. Yum!

Looking forward to: Sunshine and pay day

Listening to: Joe Purdy, San Jose. I forgot how good this song was

Feeling: Sleepy and can’t wait for a weekend lie-in

Wish list: Cos Breton T-Shirt

Wearing: Can’t stop wearing my brogues at the moment. Although my friend did ask me if I was wearing his dad’s shoes. Not cool

Craving: A big fat fruit smoothie

Wishing I never: Had that extra glass of red wine last night at the pub quiz, however it’s to be excused as I was celebrating our third place win

Tears of laughter: The surprise dance round at the pub quiz (The Westbury). A big shout out to the girl who did the forward roll on the wooden floor, and the British Ricky Martin and his snake hips. A-may-zing!

A Privileged Life

With the turn of the New Year, we can now all start looking towards spring for new fashion inspiration. Hurray!

I’ve been having my weekly browse at the net-a-porter.com magazine, and I really like the vivid New England preppy ‘Privileged Life’ photoshoot.

Maybe it’s the bright spring colours that attracted me just as I’m getting tired with the winter darkness, or the fact that the jewel colours remind me of last season’s ISSA show which was one of my faves. Enjoy!

LFW S/S 11 Highlight: Mary Katrantzou's Lampshade Skirts

With London Fashion Week A/W 11 almost upon us and therefore in the forefront on our minds (of course, like, when isn’t it!?), I have been thinking about my highlight from S/S 11. After thinking long and hard about this, there were several contenders to the London Fashion Week Swarowski jewelled crown.

The shortlist included Julien Macdonald’s sexy, sheer collection , the pure shock and hilarity of Janice Dickenson flashing at the LOVE Magazine party, Erdem’s picturesque open air theatre setting and his beautiful floral collection, the 70s revival at Giles and the Mary Katrantzou lampshade skirts.

The winner is...Mary Katrantzou’s lampshade skirts. Who would have thought that our favourite everyday household appliance could be transformed into this? Katrantzou mused: "With this collection, I wanted to put the room on the woman, rather than the woman in the room." Mary, we salute you!
